Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon
Dr. Musgrave completed a BSc in Biology at the University of Kings College followed by a BaH in Psychology at Queen's University prior to her graduate school training. She completed an MSc and subsequently a PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology (Neuroscience) at Queen's University. She did her medical training and residency in Plastic Surgery at the University of Toronto. She was awarded the Dr. A Ross Tilley Scholarship for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery by the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons in 2003.
Dr. Musgrave completed fellowship training in breast reconstruction and advanced reconstructive microsurgery in Toronto, Winnipeg and the Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford, England, where she worked as a locum plastic surgeon before returning to Toronto in 2005.
Dr. Melinda Musgrave is currently an Ontario based reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgeon, renowned for her transformative approach to plastic surgery and long standing tenure within the Division of Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery at the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Now in private practice, Dr. Musgrave remains engaged in academic research, dedicated to improving clinical outcomes not only for her patients, but for all. She is also dedicated to inspiring the future generations of plastic surgeons, receiving various awards including the FitzGerald Academy Clerkship Teaching Award, A.W. Harrison Teaching Award and the Sopman Humanitarian Award. Her passion for research, education, and patient care motivates her to apply the most current and evidence-based care for her patients.
